Expect the Unexpected​

Tough times call for tough solutions. You know my opinion on the "New Normal" but to be clear - I am NOT a fan of this term. 

​

Unanticipated change is almost always an opportunity - especially if you're a business owner, an executive, or a leader of any kind in any endeavor. 

​

Successful people understand that we prepare, we plan, we execute - then we expect the unexpected.

 

There is nothing new about pandemics and there is nothing normal about it. But we have to continue running our businesses, improving our processes, educating our employees and our customers, managing profit, and figuring out how to make adjustments that position us to not just survive - but grow!

​

If you're stuck on just "surviving" you're going to struggle. I tell my clients, "if you're not moving forward, you're moving backwards - there is no such thing as standing still and maintaining ground if you're a business owner/leader".

​

Sometimes we are so deep in our own process - we can't see the forest for the trees. We need to find a fresh perspective. I consider myself fortunate to have a business partner and together - we look to each other for fresh perspective. We talk daily about what we're seeing in the business and how we can improve. I think without access to that perspective - we would slip backwards.

​
